Why people engage in Stunting!

Why should  you give BMX stunting  a  shot(as a sport)

BMX  stunting  just  like  any  other  sport  has  its  benefits  to  it. Here  are  some  of  the  reasons  why  stunters  are  gradually  growing  in  large  numbers:

·         Stunt  for   fitness

This  might  seem  and  sound  weird, because  of  the  dangers  that  come  with  stunting. It  is  true  sometimes  you  will  fall  and  scrape  your  knees  and  elbow. But  stunting  trains  your  body  in  unique  ways. A  huge  part  of  stunting  is  balance, so  your  core  will  gain  strength  as  you  stunt. Plus,  your legs  will  get  a  good  workout. Stunting  is  also  very  aerobic,  and  you  can  easily  work up  a  sweat  while  stunting. Its  pretty  easy  to  lose  weight  when  you  are  out  stunting. If  you  really  dig  into  BMX  stunting, you  will  end  up  lean  and tough.

·         Stunt  to  make  friends

If  you  chose  to  stunt,  there  should  be  several  groups  of  instant  friends  to ride  with. If  you  have  an  interest  of  venturing  into  stunting  look  for  the  already  experienced  people  to  learn  from,  and  besides  it  is  always  encouraged  to skate  with  friends  because  it  gets  exciting.

·         Stunt  to  try  something  new

If  you  haven’t  givent  BMX  stunting  a  shot, and  you are  looking  for  something  to  challenge  yourself with, then  stunting is  a  perfect  choice. It  is  unique,  and  although  it  has  not  fully  grown  in  Botswana, there  are  still  those who  have  given  it  a  try.
BMX  stunting  will  challenge  you  in  new  ways  and  teach  you  a  new  skill  set. Trying  new  things  and  gaining  new  experience  is  what  keeps  your  brain  alive  and  active  which in  turn  gives  you  new  insights  into  the  world    and  makes  you  a  better  and  more  interesting  person.

·                                  Stunting  teaches  Perseverance

Sometimes  you  learn  a  trick  one  day  and  then  the  next day  you just  cannot  land  it. Sometimes  you  are  doing  great,  and  suddenly  you  find  yourself  smashing  into  the  pavement  and  it  hurts. Sometimes  you  practice  the  same  trick  for  a  month- or  several months- and  you  just  cant  seem  to   get  it. But  you  stick  with  it, you  keep  trying. You  learn the  value  of  staying  with  something  even  when its  not  easy  or  even  when  people  make  fun of  you or  don’t  understand  you  and  even  when  you  don’t  have  anyone  pushing  you  but  yourself. Life  is  tough  and  learning  to  push  through  because  the  payoff is  worth  it  will  help  in  every  way.

 Stunting  to Build Confidence
When you've been practicing a trick for a long, long time, and you finally  get it, you realize something. You realize that you can do something that only a small handful of people on the planet can even do. You learn that if you try hard, you can defy gravity. So you move on to a harder trick, and then a harder one yet. You start to learn that you can skate, no matter what other people say. Sometimes this gets tied into rebellion and breaking the law, but it's also building confidence, which is key to success. It sounds cheesy, but believing in yourself and understanding how powerful you really are is important!
