STUNTING IS ABOUT RISK TAKING
RISKS OUGHT TO BE TAKEN!
Not only is BMX stunting considered a recreational activity, but a large part of it very much involves taking a whole lot or risks- risking your body and at times your health.
Stunting requires one to keep doing the undo able, like flying over trash cans: this can create a risk of a stunter heavily being injured either on their heads, their back or even the whole body thus a person has to be very careful but spontenous to take it.
stunting on slippery roads: Using slippery roads can be even more dangerous because usually stunters are battling/fighting for the road with cars, besides crucial accidents like falling there is also an issue of cars running over stunters if they are not fully aware.
Research has shown that a person only gets better at something after taking a risk. So most "professional" stunters had to indulge in a whole lot of risks before they came to be good.

WHY MALES DOMINATE IN BMX STUNTING
Stunting has always been associated with young people mostly from well off background and most of stunters are boys/men as compared to girls/women. Stunting gained popularity among the youth around the world even in Botswana most of stunters are relatively young male people. Enterprenuers have also ventured into business of selling BMX stunt bikes. There is also Molapo crosing ramps that was developed by our own local people. The ramps were formed for young skaters and stunters.
Bmx stunt bicycles offers young people with the chance of expressing their individuality since they are always made in a funky way to suit different characters. Young stunters meet everyday to have fun together and Saturday is deemed stunting day since that is when a lot of numbers come around Main mall area to have fun and take on each other, testing their skills. Female stunters are still a silent, invisible minority and stunting in the wider public consciousness remains a guy's sport'.
Women are afraid of stunting and trying out new tricks. They are afraid of falling because most of most women are fragile.
